Hey Reality Rockers (do you love or hate that name??? lol)

I created this homemade garlic hummus video for you because I know it’s hard enough trying to workout, drink your water, meet your goals, and keep your edges together.  It’s like when it’s all said and done, having to think about yet “another thing” is just tewww much! I get it, I really do.

Praise God, this ‘health stuff’ comes pretty natural to me and I love sharing all about it. Also, I know that when it comes to keeping things in line ‘health wise’, healthy snacks are a key piece of the puzzle.  So, I wanted to give you a super easy, ultra delicious option that’s way healthier than store-bought and perfect to have in between meals, for breakfast or hell even as a light dinner.

Without further due, here’s the recipe and if you want to see it in action, click the video below.

1 (19 ounce) can garbanzo beans, half the liquid reserved
1 clove garlic
4 tablespoons lemon juice
2 tablespoons tahini
1 teaspoon salt
black pepper to taste
2 tablespoons olive oil

Add garbanzo beans into blender, tahini, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic clove, salt, and black pepper in blender. Blend until creamy and enjoy!

A little nutrition deets about hummus:

The base of hummus is made with chickpeas (aka garbanzo beans) and if you didn’t know they pack a punch of nutritional benefits.  It’s high in protein,  fiber, and vitamins and minerals.  Hummus is also perfect for those who have digestive challenges.  It helps to calm a crazy stomach down.  How do I know, well let’s just say I’ve remedied my digestive issues via nutrition and so I know a thang or two here :).  Basically, hummus is your friend!
